Features：AAV selects the UL26.5 promoter of the HSV structural protein gene UL26.5 (UL26.5p) to drive the expression of the gD protein, enabling abundant expression only in cells infected with Hs06. Considering that the chimeric protein scHer2/gD in Hs06 contains parts of the gD sequence, we performed codon optimization on the gD sequence in AAV, referred to as cmgD.
