In October, Brain CaseCampus Tour continues. This time, ledbyR&D DirectorDr. Su Peng, Brain Casecame to Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, by giving a unique lecture to the students of Professor Zuo Haiyan. As the R&D Director of Brain Case, Dr. Su Peng has rich scientific research and practical experience in the development and application of neurotropic virus toolkit. In this lecture, he shared the latest results in the development and strategic research of viral vectorsand toolkit by Brain Case.
Dr. Peng SU R&D Director of Brain Case PhD at Huazhong University of Science and Technology Postdoctoral fellow at Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Studies, CAS
Main researches in the fields of neurotropic virus toolkit application, especially anterograde transsynaptic tracing viruses. Relevant results have been published in Neuroimage, Molecular Brain and other academic journals.
Before the lecture, Dr. Su Peng had a simple exchange with the students, and learned about the difficulties encountered by everyone during the experiment. He shared the basic knowledge of neural circuit tracing virus from theory to practice. At last, Dr. SU analyzed actual cases based on the articles, allowing the studentsto have a better understandinf ofits feasibilitymore intuitively. After the lecture, Dr. SU answered the questions encountered by the students in actual projects one by one, and gave them pertinent suggestions and improvement methods. Everyone said that they had gained a lot and benefited a lot.
As the first station of the Brain CaseCampus Tour in Anhui, the campus tour of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine came to an end with bursts of applause. First of all, we would like to thank Professor Zuo Haiyan for her research on neural circuit in traditional Chinese medicine and for her tireless educationfor her students. Secondly, Brain Case is honored to be invited to participate in this offline lecture exchange. Finally,we truly felt their strong interest in neuroscience research and their unlimited expectations for the development of virus toolkit during the exchanges with the students. This further strengthens Brain Case’s original intention of continuing to organize the “Brain Case Campus Tour” series: to build an academic bridge for the new generation of neuroscience research and to serve the development of Chinese neuroscience!
