Recently, the project Key R&D Technology of New Adeno-Associated Virus Gene Therapy Drugs applied by Brain Case (Shenzhen) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. successfully received funding from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Major Science and Technology Project of 2023 in Shenzhen.

The Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission is the administrative department for science and technology in Shenzhen. It coordinates the development of science and technology and the construction of innovation capabilities. It is responsible for promoting the construction of Shenzhen’s independent innovation system, managing major national and provincial science and technology projects and science and technology plans, and formulating and organizing the implementation of major science and technology development projects. Meanwhile, it is in charge of the identification of high-tech enterprises, promotion of transformation of high-tech achievements and the development of applied technologies, participation in promoting the development of relevant strategic emerging industries, and be responsible for the city's high-tech enterprises construction and management, etc.
