BC-0624 rAAV-S5E2-ChrimsonR-P2A-tdTomato
Features:This AAV expresses ChrimsonR-P2A-tdTomato driven by a neuron S5E2 promoter.
Details about the source of promoter S5E2 can be found in DOI: 10.1038/s41593-020-0692-9. The report shows that the E2 enhancer has approximately 90% specificity for PV cIN and is confined to the cortex.

ChrimosonR is a new type of light-controlled ion channel that can respond to red light around 600nm. On the basis of Chrimson (CnChR1), the point mutation of K176R is made, which speeds up the speed of channel closing, so that at least it can effectively respond to optical signals of 20Hz and below. When used with Chronos, it is possible to control two different neurons with two kinds of fluorescence.
